Wireless Matrix Ships 5,125 Wireless Communications Units for FY 2005

New Unit Shipments increase 586% over FY 2004

Reston, VA- Wireless Matrix, a leading provider of wireless data communications hardware and network services announced today that shipments of their mobile and fixed data communications hardware for FY 2005 were 5,125 units, with over 2,150 units being shipped in the 4th quarter. Compared to the prior fiscal year shipments of 747 units this represents a 586% one-year increase in new shipments.

Wireless Matrix's wireless data communications products include 3 mobile product lines; the Mobile Base Station (MBS) 2, MBS Pro and the SDM 1000. The company also offers a fixed satellite communications unit, the SDX-1100. Combined shipments across all the product lines totaled 5,125 for the year.

Wireless Matrix President and CEO, J. Richard Carlson, said "Exceeding 5,100 shipped units validates our increased investment in sales and marketing. This was a major accomplishment for the company that required successful execution by all departments, and is the first step towards generating positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA)".

The new unit shipments represent not only significant new account acquisition throughout the year, but also strong growth with current customers. Additionally the new units were delivered to a strong mix of major industrial segments, including utilities, railroads, fixed site monitoring, transportation, field service, and private fleets demonstrating broad application of the company's technology. This success is a result of increased focus on these areas, which will continue in FY 2006 as the company launches new products and services to further solidify its market positions.
