Service With Dual Critical / Non-Critical Data Paths

Wireless Matrix's multi-mode capability allows us to offer our optional Bandwidth Steering service. Bandwidth Steering supports a second GPRS cellular network path that operates simultaneously with the multi-mode network path. It allows users to send larger data files that are lower priority in nature, or to run applications that are not typically appropriate for the Wide Area Wireless network, such as e-mail or web browsing.

Bandwidth Steering is most applicable to groups in a well-established GPRS footprint that:

• Benefit from field access to a corporate Internet or e-mail system
• Have an ongoing need to move large amounts of data to/from the field
• Require access to the Internet.

Bandwidth Steering makes it possible to:

• Perform large data transfers without impacting mission-critical operations
• Reduce the need to carry separate devices for data and applications such as e-mail
• Support future demands for increased data capacity and functionality
